Strongest case for the claim
It is traditionalist on family, sexuality and gender at a score of +05, hierarchical in its own governance, and has been the institutional anchor of conservative parties across Europe and Latin America for a century.
Strongest case against
Rerum Novarum condemns the yoke imposed on workers and defends union organisation. Quadragesimo Anno states subsidiarity as a limit on concentrated power. Liberation theology emerged from within the same tradition, and the Church's membership rule is conversion-open and explicitly supranational, which is the opposite of the ancestral criterion most conservative nationalisms use.
