Strongest case for the claim
Independent central banks, fiscal rules and treaty commitments remove entire policy areas from ordinary majority revision. The people affected cannot remove the people deciding. Where those constraints bind hardest, electorates have repeatedly voted against them and been overruled.
Strongest case against
Delegation is enacted by elected legislatures, is reversible by them, and is subject to judicial review. It constrains majorities rather than replacing them. The doctrines that actually reject democracy — which the atlas codes separately — propose replacing voters with shareholders and are explicit about it.
What the coordinates show. Technocratic centrism scores +03 on authority; neoreaction, which openly proposes government as a corporation answerable to shareholders, scores +07. Distance 14.4. The atlas separates insulation from concentration deliberately, because collapsing them makes the argument about the European Central Bank sound like the argument about abolishing elections, and they are not the same argument.
